MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
I was born and raised in Northern Ireland and left for the US when I was 18. I feel so fortunate
to have grown up in such a beautiful country filled with some amazing people!
This is where I found my love of photography. Many moons ago, I worked as a nanny, like most
Irish immigrants. One day, my boss gave me a Canon AT-1 with a 50 mm lens attached and
told me to "go play". I had never owned a "fully manual" camera and my natural instinct
was to learn it inside out. Thank you Mel!
I have spent years capturing the first moments of my nieces, nephews, friends and clients
children, and have watched many a Mother's eye well up when I present them with beautiful
portraits of their children; be it a daughter in a Christening robe or a Wedding dress.
It wasn't until May of 2007 that I realized exactly how they felt and how priceless those photos
were; I became a Mother myself.
I gazed at her through every 3am feeding thinking "I will never forget this moment..." but with
every brillant new gurgle or hand gesture, you do forget. That's when I pull out the photos of her
first night sleeping soundly in her crib, the night I cried like a baby because she moved from the
bassinett beside me, to the huge sequestered crib way far at the bottom of my bed and it brings
me back to that night. And just like that, she's NINE YEARS OLD!!!
God has blessed me many, many times in my life, I am most grateful for my daughter, my family
and my given photography talent.
BTW, I am one of seven children (middle child), I have amazing parents who still live in the same
home I grew up in. I still have a slight accent and I'm pretty short at 5ft, so don't be surprised to
see me standing on anything close by!
Peace and love,
Cathy Heinz Bennett

"I cannot believe there isn't already a review for Cathy-it must be because she is a hidden treasure. She was absolutely wonderful, and honestly I would have paid her twice as much for the services she provided. I cannot gush about her enough-absolutely fabulous. She was prompt, friendly, helpful, easy to work with and very understanding of our unique family dynamic. Her work is amazing and her character beyond reproach. You really shouldn't miss the opportunity to work with her. I loved that she was a part of my special day, and will use her in the future for anything involving photography. She can't be beat in price or quality."

"Cathy did an amazing job! We used Cathy for our engagement pictures & wedding day. I found Cathy through a friend of a friend, browsed her site, and knew right away she was the style I was looking for. We did some email correspondance to start and she was very responsive - a great trait that a bride looks for. We met so that we could get a feel for her personality and clicked right away! She is kind and knowledgeable while being relaxed and professional at the same time. Her prices were super reasonable and she was flexible on her package, making it easy for us to work with her. I knew she would be fabulous- but she is amazing beyond anything I could have hoped for!! Her and her assistant captured the 'feel' of my wedding and I couldn't have asked for more. I would, and have, recommended to any bride-to-be. You certainly won't be disappointed! I am so happy we went with Cathy -she is such a fun, sweet person who truly loves what she does."

"Cathy has the ability to take control of a photo session, do all of the technical things that are needed while putting everyone around her totally at ease. Cathy has incredible control of her equipment and use of lighting . Her creativity and amazing eye makes her a photographer that most certainly needs to be considered for any important job. "
